Equipment

  • 10-12 bamboo skewers that fit in your air fryer

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless skinless salmon fillet - cut into 1” pieces

Marinade:

  • 2 cloves garlic - minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste or grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder - optional
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1 pinch sugar

Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup sweet Thai chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp mayo
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  • Make the marinade: In a large bowl, whisk together all the marinade ingredients until well combined.
  • Marinate the salmon: Add the salmon pieces to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  • Assemble the skewers: Thread the salmon pieces onto skewers that fit into your air fryer. Pack the pieces fairly close together without crushing them to help keep the salmon moist.
  • Cook the skewers: Air fry at 400°F for 10-13 minutes until fully cooked through.
  • Make the sauce: While the salmon cooks, whisk together all of the sauce ingredients until smooth.
  • Finish: Drizzle 2–3 teaspoons of the Thai chili lime sauce over each skewer.
  • Serve: Enjoy warm over steamed jasmine rice. Garnish with extra cilantro, sliced green onions, and/or a squeeze of fresh lime if desired.
