In a small bowl, add all the sauce ingredients and mix until well combined.
In a large bowl, add ground pork/beef, minced onions, panko bread crumbs, egg, a pinch of salt, a pinch of black pepper, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon oyster sauce. Use your hands to mix and knead the ground meat until everything is fully incorporated.
Dust the inside of each bell pepper half with a thin layer of corn starch or flour. This will help the meat stick to the bell peppers better.
Fully stuffed each prepared bell peppers with ground meat mixture. Use the back of a spoon to press down and flatten the meat mixture. Lightly cover the surface with corn starch or flour.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat, place the stuff peppers in the pan, meat-side down.
Cover with a lid and cook for about 4-5 minutes over low-medium heat until the surface of the meat is golden brown. Flip them over, cover with lid again and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bell pepper skin is charred.
Pour in prepared sauce cook for about 1 minute. Flip the stuffed peppers over again, and let them cook for another 1-2 minutes in the sauce until sauce starts to thicken.
Plate the stuffed peppers and drizzle the extra sauce over the top. Garnish with some roasted sesame seeds, if desired. Enjoy!
